Both authors are experienced psychology educators who found a gap in the literature and decided to support psychology students and teachers alike with ideas and summaries of key studies.

Claire has been teaching for 30 years, initially as an English and Drama teacher in the UK and Japan. When asked to teach ‘Lord of the Flies’ for the fifth year in a row she decided it was time for a change, so re-trained as a psychology teacher, one of the best decisions she ever made. Claire teaches IB Diploma psychology at an international college in Cambridge, England and has also written for a range of textbooks and presented workshops on interactive teaching techniques. When she is not working, Claire spends as much time as she can at the ice-rink, where she is working through the Skate UK figure skating levels, which is her particular passion. She also loves travelling, reading murder mysteries and yoga.

Laura is an independent education consultant who has retired from her 25-year full-time teaching career to run her own business, L Swash Consultancy, and teach IB Diploma psychology on short-term cover in schools worldwide. She also develops interactive and textbook materials and leads online and face-to-face psychology workshops for students and teachers. She enjoys writing, reading, gardening and scuba diving.
